Custom Ceremony Creation
Did you know that the ceremony is for the couple, while the reception is more for the guests? With that in mind, I work with you to learn who you are as individuals, who you are as a couple, and what your vision for your ceremony is. We talk about the environment in which the ceremony will take place (inside, outside, etc), to ensure that we are accounting for everything, and then we work together to carefully and intentionally craft a ceremony that is reflective of you as a couple. Music is powerful, and what you choose for seating music can be just as important as the other music of the ceremony. Let’s create something that will leave your guests feeling as they somehow know you better, just from attending your ceremony!
I provide all the necessary equipment for the ceremony – speakers, microphones (corded or wireless) and stands, including a beautiful clear “podium” for the officiant if needed.
Emcee and Timeline Coordination
A successful reception is won or lost in the transitions – ceremony to cocktail hour, cocktail hour to dinner, dinner to the dance. Sprinkle in a potential grand march, a love story, toasts/speeches, cake cutting, a slide show or any other ideas you have, and there is a lot happening that you need to keep your guests connected to. It doesn’t happen by accident. You have to be intentional and you absolutely need someone to help you, and your guests, navigate that wedding timeline that you spent months putting together. This is the single most overlooked aspect a couple misses when hiring their wedding DJ.
I work with your photographer, videographer, wedding planner / coordinator, parents, wedding party and venue contact to get everyone where they need to be and when they need to be there.
Reception Music – Cocktails, Dinner, Dance
Like the rest of your reception, a great dance doesn’t happen by accident. Especially if you want it to include everyone – grandparents, parents, 20-somethings, 30 somethings. Everyone. My 30+ years of experience give me a leg up on music curation, knowing just what song to play, and when to play it, to keep your dance floor the place to be – for everyone! Just like your ceremony, I integrate your personalities into the music selection, to share a little more about who you are when it’s time to get your party on!
Cocktail and Dinner music is customized as well. The background music you choose for these times is just as much a reflection of you, as your ceremony and reception dance music.
